I consider myself a root worker. I love helping folks get to the root of their pain or difficulties in order to create real, sustainable change. My goal is not to see you every week for 10 years; I want to help my clients effectively and efficiently experience shifts in order to move into a deeper place of self-trust, self-confidence, and self-mastery so you can show up in your relationships, your work, and your life in the ways you want.
My approach to counseling considers your whole being, including your subconscious mind, nervous system, and your innate mind-body intelligence. I believe that all of us have an internal wellspring of healing, wisdom, and wholeness that we can harness for healing and growth. If you have experienced trauma or other overwhelming situations, whether during your childhood or even more recently, it’s not uncommon that you might feel disconnected from this inner strength and wisdom. My work focuses on helping you understand the things that have happened and how your brilliant system adapted in order to survive those experiences. Together, we will explore practical ways to shift from the past and into the present, restoring harmony to your system.
My professional credentials include being a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate, as well as a clinical hypnotherapist and meditation teacher. After studying neuroscience and counseling earlier in my career, I’ve explored various alternative healing modalities like trauma-focused hypnotherapy, energy psychology, and psychedelic assisted psychotherapy. I rely heavily on the modalities of Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and trauma-focused mind-body practices.
Starting therapy is a brave step, and I honor your courage and willingness to embark on this journey (even if you’re still feeling a bit of resistance - that would be totally normal!). I work with all kinds of people who are ready to experience a shift, even if they’re not quite sure how to do that or what that looks like. Perhaps you’ve been holding onto a difficult past event that’s impacted your sense of self or safety. Maybe you are working through an inner conflict about how to move forward in some area of your life. You might be dealing with grief, anxiety, or a difficult pattern in your relationships that you want to work through. Or perhaps you're navigating a life transition and need extra support. I am committed to offering care that is safe, inclusive, and accessible. My clients share that my approach to therapy is authentic, innovative, compassionately challenging, and has helped them to reach new levels of self love, understanding, and acceptance.
Whatever has brought you here, welcome. I am excited to explore the possibility of supporting you and co-creating the change you know (or hope) is possible.
