Who I Am
My own journey of self-discovery and healing started in my teenage and young adult years. I remember asking myself questions like “Why are we here?”, “What is the purpose of all this pain around me and inside of me”?, “How can I make my life meaningful and worth living?”. I struggled with anxiety, depression, insecurity, and confusion about my role and purpose in the world. I endured loss, grief, abuse, trauma, and divorce, and sought out psychological and spiritual answers to make sense of it all and heal.
As a result of what I have experienced in my own journey, I can empathize with many of the deep challenges in other’s lives. My own healing work and explorations have brought me to the recognition that I, and others, have the light of the true self within that is impossible to extinguish. This light is a source of strength, love, happiness, inspiration, and guidance. It is this awareness that helps me to see that no one I work with is “broken”, or even needs “fixing”. Instead, I see my role as a therapist as someone who helps uncover the layers that are hiding the light that one already has within. It is my greatest wish for those that I work with to come to this recognition for themselves, and to stand confident in their own light!
